The setting of this book is constantly changing: billy’s childhood, the war, his wedding, a new planet, the asylum, etc. it’s possible (though highly unlikely) that vonnegut is a lazy author and really hasn’t planned his book well and that’s why it skips around so much. but more likely, he’s doing it on purpose. speculate as to why vonnegut has this setting shift so often.
