Is there a finishing spray to put on a pair of Vans shoes

My brother is giving me a pair of white slip on Vans to decorate. I’ve got brush pens, acrylic paint, permanent markers, and MICRON PENS
I understand that when water hits those things it’ll bleed out and ruin the design.

I use a finishing spray on paper when I’m using charcoal- it works like a charm
Will that spray work on a pair of shoes?
