The cell cycle is a repeating sequence of events that leads to the duplication and division of a cell. place the stages of the cell cycle in the order of their occurrence, from the earliest stage of cell growth through the latest stage of cell division.

There are two main events during the cell cycle. Interphase and mitosis/meiosis (this will depend on the type of cell)

Interphase is the part of the cell cycle where the cell is pretty much "living its life" (growing, feeding, doing metabolism).

Interphase is divided in 3 main phases.  G1-S-G2. (see attached picture)

During mitosis the cell will produce 2 new identical cells. Citocinesis is the part where the cytoplasm finally divides.

when atoms of different types of elements join together, they make molecules called compounds. water consists of compound molecules made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. this is why it's called h2o. water will always have 2 times the number of hydrogen atoms as oxygen atoms.
