Consider a situation in which 50 seafarers operate an icebreaker ship (a ship that can break ice in the ocean and rescue a ship stuck in the sea ice). Let us assume that we are, somehow, able to get the data of the operation, i. e., data of how each seafarer turns around the ice to break it, and data of the icebreaker speed. Conventionally, this data is called human performance data. How in your opinion, the concept of similarity and its measure can benefit us in understanding the performance of each seafarer?
