An analogy expresses a comparison between two pairs of words. analogy questions often appear on standardized tests. you are given two words that are related in some way. to solve the analogy, you need to figure out how they relate. then you find the two other words that have the same relationship.
instructions:
study the following examples

a-steer : car as
b- travel : train
c-paint : brush
d-navigate : boat
e-eat : kitchen

to solve an analogy, do the following:

1-think of a sentence that shows the relationship between the first pair of words. "i steer the car."
2-take the first word pair out of the sentence. "i a
3-try out possible replacement answers. the sentences, i travel a train and i paint a brush do not make sense. i navigate a boat does make sense, therefore c is the correct answer,
