Why is Romeo content to carry on with his friends even though he has a feeling that something will go awry

At the beginning of the tragedy "Romeo and Juliet", by Shakespeare, Romeo is suffering because of a girl. His friends are trying to convince him to crash Capulet's party - the Caputlets and the Montagues, Romeo's family, are mortal enemies. His friends claim Romeo will be able to have some fun and meet girls that will make him forget about his current suffering.

Romeo says he can sense something bad will happen because of this party. He knows he shouldn't go - he even knows tragedy awaits. But he still goes because there is nothing he can do against fate. Whatever it is that destiny brings, he is ready to accept it:

I fear too early, for my mind misgives

Some consequence yet hanging in the stars

Shall bitterly begin his fearful date

With this night’s revels, and expire the term

Of a despisèd life closed in my breast

By some vile forfeit of untimely death.
