How have modern farmers in the region adopted incan farming methods?

The modern farmers of the region adopted the ancestral Incan farming methods by rebuilding terraces like they were used ages ago to be able to farm on steep hillsides.

They are also using antique canalisation methods that save water, which an extremely important resource these days, more than a few decades ago.  For that same reason, they also cultivate plants that have roots that attract water, to help produce natural springs.
