Considering the european nations already had defined alliances, do you think that war would have been inevitable?

War is always inevitable because humans don't get along and nations always have fights, even small ones. They might even fight about how big their territory is or where their borders begin and end. Nations and countries like to get ahead of each other, so yes, war is inevitable, in my opinion
