The articles of confederation was our first form of government during and after the Revolutionary War. It was weak and ineffective for many reasons, and two of the most important were that the government could not levy taxes, and did not have an executive branch. Why are these two factors so important to a functioning government? (2 points for each factor’s explanation) don’t forget to use examples of what was happening in history at that time.
