The president asked Briggs to head the Uranium Advisory Committee. The meeting was attended by Wigner, Szilárd, and Edward Teller. The committee finally reported the results of the meeting to Roosevelt in November. Reports suggested that uranium can be used as a base material for bombs with a greater destructive force and fierce than anything that people know at that time.
