What does it mean when an appellate case is heard en banc?

That the judges sit together at the front of the room.
That the judges do not need to hear oral arguments, but depend on the briefs instead.
That all the available appellate judges in the jurisdiction decide the case.
That all the available court personnel appear in the courtroom for the oral arguments.
