⟹ (x -7) =3 (y-7)

⟹ x -7 = 3y -21

⟹ 38-y -7 = 3y -21 (From equation 1st)

⟹ 31+21 = 3y +y

⟹ 52 = 4y

⟹ 4y = 52

⟹ y = 52/4

⟹ y = 13

Now putting the value of y = 13 in equation (i) we get

⟹ x = 38-13

⟹ x = 25

the present age of Farhan is 25 years.
