Back in 1990 there were lots of Dunkin Donuts stores near
DUNKIN' Elmhurst
, but Starbucks was new to the Midwest. Within a
DONUTS 20 mile radius of Elmhurst there were 205 Dunkin Donuts
shops, and the number of stores was growing at a rate of
2.7% per year. There were only 8 Starbucks in that same
area, but new stores opened often and the number of
Starbucks shops was increasing 24% each year.

Write two equations to model this situation, one about Dunkin Donuts and we about Starbucks.
Let x = the number of years after 1990 and let y = the number of stores.
