Sorry if i'm wrong, the shape is a bit trippy tbh lol

For this question, you can split up the composite shape into 4 different shapes to find the area more easily:
x3 triangle
x1 square/rectangle

First find the area of the triangles (whilst using pythagorus to find the length of the sides).

Square/rectangle area: 8cm^2
4 x 2 = 8

Upper triangle area: 6cm^2
root5^2 - 4^2 = 3
(3x4)/2 = 6

For the rest of the shapes, gonna make a few assumptions such as that the 4cm length on the bottom square and 4cm length above it share a length of 2cm, sorry if i'm wrong here.

Right triangle area: 2.87..cm^2
root3.5^2 - 2^2 = 2.87...
(2.87..x 2)/2 = 2.87228...cm^2

Left triangle area:
root3.5^2 - 3^2 = 1.802..
(1.802..x3)/2 = 2.704...

Afterwards, add up all the area together.
8 + 6 + 2.87.. + 2.704... = 19.576... approx
