Which variable did you plot on the x-axis, and which variable did you plot on the y-axis? Explain why you assigned the variables in that way.

I plotted height on the x-axis because it is the independent variable and the arm span on the y-axis because it’s the dependent variable. The arm span will be based on the height, therefore the arm span should be plotted on the y-axis.

Write the equation of the line of best fit using the slope-intercept formula y = mx + b. Show all your work, including the points used to determine the slope and how the equation was determined.

The y-intercept represents the arm span of the people that are being measured. The slope is by how much is the height being increased.
