Pls explain the error

Y goes up by non-linear rate since it is being multiplied by 4, anytime something is being multiplied is it no longer linear.

by applying the distributive property :

6 × 4.3 = 6 × ( 4 + 0.3 )

            =   (6 ×   4) + (6 ×   0.3)

            = 24 + 1.8

6 × 4.3 = 25.8
