In an open system, the fluid flow through the system at 17kg/s and the power developed by the system is 14000kW. The specific enthalpy of the fluid at inlet and outlet are 1200kJ/kg and 360kJ/kg respectively, and the velocities of the fluid at inlet and outlet are 60m/s and 150m/s respectively. Assuming the change in potential eneis negligible. Determine : (a). the rate at which heat is rejected from the system
(b). The area of inlet pipe , given that the specific volume of the fluid at inlet is 0.5mΒ³/kg.
