How was the weimar republic constituted

Weimar Republic was established in 1919. Its name was Deutsches Reich and it was formed after November Revolution (1918-1919). New republic was formed after Kaiser Wilhelm II abdicated. Freidrich Ebert was elected as a new president. The government was democratic (it was an autocracy before).
