In the latest years, some entrepreneurs have even integrated emotional intelligence tests into their process of application or interview, based on the theory that someone who has high emotional intelligence will be a better leader or coworker.

While some studies have found an association between emotional intelligence and performance of a job, many others show no correlation at all, and the lack of a logically-valid scale makes it hard to accurately measure or predict someone's emotional intelligence at work.
