What is the difference between point source and nonpoint source pollution?

The point source pollution has only a single source. The nonpoint source comes from many diffuse sources. The nonpoint source's pollution is caused by rainfall or snowmelt moving over and through the ground. It can cause problems with the quality of the water. It is caused by disconnected sources of pollution.
