The continuous rise in  the Spanish taxes,coupled  with the abuse of powers of the Spanish Colonial masters over the Peruvian in 1780 led to the rebellion by Tupac Amaru ii (with the support of his wife Micaela Bastidas ) against the Spanish  authorities.
