Jesus did not perform many miracles between Chapters 10- 16 of Mark because he was preparing for his own death and making or setting an example for his disciples to follow once He's gone.

He gave these teachings so that even after He's gone, the disciples will be able to lead the people along the right path and help spread the Good News all through the world.
