For example, sociology research focuses on human communities and the phenomena that result from the activities of human communities. In quantitative research, the researcher seeks to gather empirical observational data for himself.

By looking at the observational data, the researcher seeks to understand some social phenomenon and to make generalizations about the observational data he or she has collected.

Q - Quantifiable data are being presented for research purpose.

U - Used in measuring variables and analysing them in order to reach a conclusion.

A - All the feedbacks from the respondents that is, those that took provided the needed information regarding the research can be made into graph or charts for further explanation or analysis.

N - Not bias as it typically shows the true picture of a particular research.

T - The advantage is that it's descriptive e.g. a snapshot of a particular population of interest can be known.
