Importance of a state

In most parts of the world it has been the aim of the state to protect the individuals, to ensure the security of their life and to maintain law and order among them. spreading: when two plates are pushed apart (fig. 7.15)

transform faulting: when two plates slide past each other (fig. 7.15)
