Even until today, untouchability still pretty much exist all across the world.

For example, children from poor families generally do not have all the nutrients, educations, and network that are available for the children from rich family. Even if those children have equal potential within themselves, the sheer difference in situation make successful careers became almost an untouchable commodities for the poor children.
