By the 1700s, what about slavery had changed?

By the early 1700s, a really important event happened and extremely benefited planters and other slave masters.

They started to be aware of a considerably important point, the benefits of allowing slaves to make families and filial bonds (marrying, having children, etc).

The common known between the ¨people exploiters¨ was that letting them have this ¨rights ¨ will make the slaves more content, and due to this, more docile and subordinate. Another major reason was the slaves' offspring, newborn babies, were marked already as slaves, so once they had a determined age to start to work, they were used as workers too.

These two reasons were important changes about slavery in the century, that given important benefits to the planters mainly, giving to the slaves a false conception of better treatment, making them easier to control, this previous reason and the offspring slavery provoked an incalculable economic appreciation for planters and other ¨slave masters¨.
