What was the greatest single cultural transformation of the gilded age?

In my view the greatest single cultural transformation of the gilded age was the day when women get their suffrage. It began in 1869 in Wyoming which was called "Equality State". Then it spread to the east. It was the perfect example of TRUE American democracy.
