Pluton is a short form for plutonic rocks. Pluton are mass of rocks formed from intrusive igneous rocks. This rocks are formed from the solidification of magma in the interior of the earth crust.

Magma are formed in the aesthenosphere regions of the earth,  as this magma creeps or erupt either at the earth subsurface(below the surface) or the surface the magma undergoes slow or rapid cooling.

Below the surface the rocks undergo slow cooling and this semi liquid(magma) becomes hard to form pluton which are intrusive igneous rocks.
