Our high school organized a sports event. My class received the assignment of designing attractive posters for the event. Initially, we decided that each of us would make one poster. Most of us found the task difficult because it required us to write slogans, draw pictures and caricatures, and
color the poster, and only a few of us were good at all of these tasks. While some of us were good at drawing others were good at calligraphy.
Others were good at writing slogans, and so on.
We gathered in the cafeteria to discuss the problem. After a brainstorming session, we realized that we would make better posters if we all took up
tasks that we could do well. Some of my classmates had very good knowledge of the shops where quality material would be available for the
posters. They took charge of procuring the materials. Those who were good at writing slogans wrote slogans. The artistically inclined students used
their drawing, coloring and calligraphic skills to bring the posters alive. As the posters were ready, the remaining students hung them at previously
selected locations on the school premises.
Through cooperation, we achieved what we could not have done if we all had worked alone. This cooperative effort bore fruit and our attractive
posters became one of the main highlights of the sports event. Both the teachers and school management appreciated our efforts.
