Psychopathology is part of the MMPI test

The MMPI test is a psychometric test used to measure adult psychopathology in the world. The purpose of this test is to provide an accurate picture of the dimensions of personality and psychopathology in psychiatric clinics.

The MMPI test contains a validity scale (scale?, Scale L, scale F, and scale K) and clinical scale (scale 1 to scale 0).

Scale? (CS) is not really a formal scale but invites to present the number of items left and missed on the profile sheet. The usefulness of reporting the total number of unanswered questions provides one of several validity indices.

The F scale (rarely) measures a person's response in a distorted manner. MMPI and MMPI-2 item-F scales were selected based on endorsement by less than 10% of participation.

The forty MMB-2 Fb items are designed to make it easier to answer "fake-bad" (feigning illness) for the last 197 items. This might be important because the F scale was traditionally obtained from several items obtained from what are now the first 370 questions at MMPI-2.

Because the F scale is usually relevant in psychiatric patients, it is difficult to distinguish between true psychopathologists and those who have little pathology, but pretend to be sick.

The Fake Bad Scale (FBS) was developed in the hope that this scale will be approved by those who approve the payment of compensation which is canceled by most (Less-Haley, English, & Glenn, 1991).

The Lie Scale (lies) consists of 15 items that are questioned beyond which a client must describe himself in a positive way that is not challenging. High scores on the L scale (T = 65) while low scores on the L scale (T = 35-45).

The K scale is designed to support clients who are too positive in describing themselves. Individuals with moderate scores often have good ego strength, effective emotional defense, good contact with challenges, and excellent coping skills. High scores on K (T = 65 or 70), moderate scores on K (T = 56-64), and low scores on K (T = bad false profile).

Because the K and L scales are found to be mediocre in counting people who pretend to be well, the S scale was developed in the hope that the scale could be increased more accurately when people tried to look good (Butcher & Han, 1995).
