Radiologists are doctors trained to use their knowledge of medicine and technology to diagnose and treat disease and injury with the use of internal imaging methods. To become a radiologist, you'll need four years of medical school and at least four years of residency (on-the-job training) in addition to a bachelor's degree. It helps to be a curious, focused communicator who is interested in technology. You must be eager to learn about the machines that will be a part of your everyday environment, but you’ll also need excellent people skills.

Duties that radiologists include, but are not limited to improve and saving lives , using x-rays, ultrasound, MRIs, CAT scans, and other imaging technology , working closely with technicians, other doctors, and specialists , spending years studying and training , keeping up with advances in medicine and technology , and balancing heavy workloads with your personal life

Some related majors are biochemistry, biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, neuroscience, and nuclear engineering. Some related careers are advanced-practice nurses, diagnostic medical sonographers, general practitioners, internists, nuclear medicine technologists, radiation therapists, and radiologic technologists.
