What factors have contributed to the development of languages such as English?

A language is a set of concepts, expressions and grammatical rules that govern communication for a certain group of people, usually linked to each other for territorial reasons. Thus, each language has its own structures and meanings, giving each thing a specific word that allows a concept to be communicated between the speakers of that language.

The development of languages dates back to the very beginnings of human civilization, when individuals began to elaborate languages developed to be able to transmit knowledge and abstract concepts. Thus, each language begins to define itself in a certain territory, conditioned by the use given to it by the individuals living in that territory, who adopt certain idiomatic rules in order to communicate with each other.
