A) reason media outlets engage in the behaviors described in the excerpt is because they simply benefit their party. The media will even find 3rd party sources to justify, prove, or explain something that benefits their side. A great example of this are the conservative media reporting so-called-Christain pastors claiming that they were told by God that Trump would be elected no matter what. Also Trump and his side, claiming that the election numbers were false and he wanted a recount.

B) Polling and voting has increased partisanship because of the amount of people who essentially pledge their vote to a certain party while doing everything in their power to contrast and put down anyone opposite of what they’re supporting.

C) And interaction between voters and polling can impact government because the two are linked and effectively decide the presidency. People supporting their party’s policies or views why shunning the other party is huge if one wants to win. The extremist, like the ones called the “radical left” and those who support Trump with their life, impact the election and results greatly.
