When does political socialization begin? What life events can affect political beliefs?
Political socialization begins in childhood. Some research suggests that family and school teachers are the most influential factors in socializing children, but recent research designs have more accurately estimated the high influence of the media in the process of political socialization. There are many factors that affect political participation. Education, gender, age and family are some of them. The family factor is an important factor that the individual has been in since he was born

Summarize each in terms of how it affects political socialization:
Family- Families play a role in our early socialization. Most high school seniors identify with the same political party as their parents.
School and College- Schools teach us to love our country, law, and value our rights. The more education Americans get, the more likely they are to participate in politics.
Peers- As we age, our friends and co-workers begin to influence our political views. So do the groups we join, such as labor unions and political parties.
Media The new media influence what we pay attention to as adults. The effects of the media vary with our reading and viewing habits.
Social Environments- Our environments can affect our political loyalties. Who we interact with can influence how we vote and what our focus is on politically.
Geography Where we live can affect how we vote, it’s kind of like pure pressure of trying to think logical sometimes. If you live in Indiana and voted Democrat, for the last couple elections your vote would not have mattered in electoral votes. This may make you either move to make your count, or just vote Republican live most else. This varies from person to person though, from what I’ve heard, thes methods are not common.
How has globalization affected political socialization?
Concerns and issues are often raised about the impact of globalization on employment, working conditions, income and social protection. ...
