Can you take APUSH without taking US History 1 first?

Yes, you should. APUSH is one of the most valuable courses that I’ve taken so far in high school, and, although it was difficult, I’ve come out much more aware of my country’s history. You should expect a lot of reading, and also should be proficient at writing. In addition to these, be ready for lots of memorization, as APUSH is a very content-heavy class. It’s a lot of work, but your efforts will not be wasted simply for an A in an AP class. The history that you learn in APUSH makes you much educated about the United States’ past, and this knowledge allows for connections to be made from the past to the modern-day, whether it be in a political debate or a simple conversation. APUSH took up a majority of my school-dedicated time this year, but I’m really glad that I decided to take it.
