Domenikos Theotocopoulos (1541–1614) , better known as El Greco was born in the island of Crete, he was a painter who got stablished in Toledo between 1577 and 1579, where he did most of his work, until his death on April 6 or 7, 1614 but he was also famous at other parts of Spain.
