The answer is Brooks, Dickinson.

Gwendolyn Brooks was the Illinois poet laureate and also the poetry consultant to the Library of Congress in 1960's. She was a highly acclaimed and influential African American Poet. She was always in the public eye and most of her work revolved around political feelings of the time.

Emily Dickinson has been termed a hermit or recluse as towards the late 1850's when she composed most of her greatest works of poetry she limited the amount of social visits she allowed and made and had a very small circle of trusted friendships.
