Everyone Is Equal When will everyone see
That we're not so different?
We all have hopes and dreams,
Fears and insecurities,
strengths and weaknesses.
We've all cried,
We've all laughed.
So why is it
That we allow the small things to tare us apart?
We've allowed the color of our skin,
The people we love,
And our ethnic backgrounds to stop us from being a community.
Why can't we see that everyone is equal?
It shouldn't matter who we love.
It should only matter that we're happy.
It shouldn't matter the color of our skin.
It should only matter that we can live without fear or worry.
It shouldn't matter who or what we believe in.
It should only matter that we get to be who we want.
Everyone is equal
No matter the color of your skin;
The things you believe in;
The people we love.
Rich or poor,
Big or small,
Everyone is the same.
