The unit explained that critique is an important part of being an artist. Another example of something similar is how an editor edits a writer’s work. What are some other careers that involve some form of critique? Explain how the critique in your examples are different than an art critique.
Imagine that you are an artist who refuses to let their art be critiqued. How might this affect your work or success as an artist? Why is it important to get your art critiqued?
What are some outside factors that can influence an art critique?
You learned about the four main parts of an art critique in this unit. If you had the opportunity to eliminate one of these parts and replace it with something else, what would you eliminate and add? Describe what step you would add to the critiquing process. Explain why you removed the step that you did.
