1. Based on the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo (page 599 and PowerPoint lecture Image 18-19) - Are you a perfect Square? • Measurement #1- Measure your wing span- the width from your right middle finger to your left middle finger and compare it to your overall height (top of your head to the bottom of your feet). Document both measurements below to see if you are a perfect square.

2. During the Renaissance era artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo debated the halfway point on the human body? Michelangelo believed the half way point is at the bend line and da Vinci believed that it is at the belly button.
• Measurement #2- Measure the height of your body and divide by two. Then see where the halfway point falls on your body. Is it close to your hip or your belly button? Document your measurements below.
3. Based on the Ancient Greek sculpture- Poseidon (see Page- 152) he is constructed exactly as 7 heads tall and 3 heads wide. Are you a Greek God or Goddess?
• Measurement #3- Measure how many heads fit in your overall height. Measure from top of your head to your chin, then use the overall height of your body divided by the length of your head. Ex: 60 / 10 = 6 heads

4. Use the Golden Ratio of 1:1.618, A divided by B = Golden ratio
Examples: Head, hand, fingers, ear, mouth and etc.. Do not measure your toes, thumb or feet, because these do not follow the GR of 1.618. ie.: measure the length of your hand (6.6") and measure the width of your hand (3.6"). Use the length divided by the width = your GR of your hand is 1.83”. Measure two different parts of your body and document all the measurements below.

• Measurement #4- Measure a part of your body and see if it comes close to the Golden Ratio of 1.618.

• Measurement #5- Measure a part of your body and see if it comes close to the Golden Ratio of 1.618.
