In the virtual assistance industry there is a big controversy and labor issue regarding the virtual assistants and gender. Many people in the industry are women and they are dominating the field because of the niche that they are female. The women have a privilege because many of them don't actually make websites and they outsource significantly and get paid for doing almost absolutely nothing. The industry could definitely grow if this was exposed more often and people hired the virtual assistants for their skill and not their gender.
