No she did not truly love Diego Rivera. In fact she often used words such as "ugly" or "fat" to describe his appearance. Frida was not in love with Diego but in fact his art. Frida cheated on Rivera twice, and had no remorse for her actions due to the fact he also did the same to her. She loved this one woman more than him. Her love for diego was just admiration and a fangirl rush.
