What mathematician's foundations can be found in CAD software and what are these elements? here's the answer ;)
While the “C” in CAD stands for “computer,” the idea behind this technology predates the computer by centuries. One could say that it all began in Alexandria, Egypt, around the year 350 BCE. That was when the great mathematician Euclid wrote his landmark treatise “The Elements.” It introduced the postulates and axioms on which Euclidian geometry were founded. They were instrumental to the architecture of today’s CAD systems.
