Choose an artist whose work you find interesting. Write a 500-word essay describing the artist, his or her life, the time period, the medium in which he or she worked and one or two works.

You may want to peruse art books to find an artist, or you may want to choose one of the artists whose works you have seen in this lesson and look him or her up on the Internet. When you use information from books or websites, be sure to cite the sources you use in MLA style.
