Basically there are three forms of contracts that can be concluded between publisher and author:

- Assignment agreement of the author's rights, where he assigns in full or non-onerous form all or part of his exclusive rights.

- Music publishing contract also generates the assignment of property rights, but the publisher undertakes to disclose and promote the works in addition to licensing and protecting their use.
