Explain briefly some of the differences between conventional orchestras and concert or marching bands.

In marching band you have to travel a lot and you have to March and stay and bands camp and their music you have to walk and play the same time and you have to wear a uniform like your school has one and with a concert band you are sitting down dressed in concert type clothing and you have a stand in front of you you are able to read the music in front of you where as in marching band you cannot do that you cannot have the music in front of you there is no stand here on a football field in marching band and you have to go to football games and basketball games and it's loud in an orchestra or a concert band it's very quiet because you are indoors you also have your band teacher in front of you whereas you have a drum major in marching bands you spend more time practicing for marching band because it has to be perfect and they are judging you people are judging you and giving you scores and you get trophies and where as in concert band you won't get judged unless you go to a competition and that rarely ever happens there's a lot less going on in concert band than there is in marching band season
