During winter time, the decreased amount number of sunlight would affect the process of photosynthesis. Sunlight is the most essential ingredient in photosynthesis and without it, photosynthesis would likely not be possible. Thus, the effect of this would be that the process of photosynthesis would be slowed down. Basically;

The rate of photosynthesis would decrease and less glucose would be produced.
