Morphological adaptations can occur in plants and animals. Morphological adaptation is an adaptation carried out by living things as an effort to adapt to the environment accompanied by changes in body shape and tools. To survive in the environment and the changes that occur, not only animals that need adjustment but this also happens to plants to survive.

Morphological adaptations in plants are characterized by changes in the shape of leaves, roots, and stems of plants as evidence of adaptation to their environment. Morphological adaptations in plants are divided into three, namely plants that live in water (hydrophytes), plants that live in dry areas (xerophytes), and plants that live in humid areas (hygrophytes).

1. Xerophyte Adaptation

Xerophyte is a type of plant that lives in dry and minimal water places such as in the desert or savanna. Types of plants that live in this environment, for example, are cactus and butter flowers. The form of adaptation that this plant does is by adjusting the shape of the leaves, roots, and other body parts.

2. Hydrophytic Adaptation

Hydrophyte plants are a type of plant that lives in water. Types of plants that live in this environment, for example, lotus and water hyacinth. This plant lives on the surface of the water and is floating. This plant requires nutrients that are directly obtained from water

3. Hygiene Adaptation

Profit plants are types of plants that live in humid environments. Species of plants that live in this environment are examples of ferns, taro, and mosses.
