Pathogenic bacteria are bacteria that have the ability to produce diseases when they enter into the body. Examples of pathogenic bacteria are Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Salmonella, Pseudomonas and Streptococcus.  

Pathogenic bacteria can infect an organism through the skin (a cut), physical contact with infected persons or infected substances, through a weak immune function or through sexual activity. Pathogenic bacteria cause infections when they begin to multiply in the body thereby, destroying the cells and disrupting the cell’s activities.
