What is a genotype and what is a phenotype?

Phenotype is the term used to describe the morphological, physiological and behavioral characteristics of the individual that we can visualize and that arise through the interaction between the genotype and the environment. The phenotype can be motivated in some situations. For example, let's say your parents have black hair, and you have inherited this characteristic from them. This characteristic is something that we can visualize, that is, it is the phenotype. However, you can change the color of your hair, or your hair may appear lighter due to the action of the sun and the chlorine of the picina.

The genotype, on the other hand, is the term used to describe your genetic makeup based on the genes you have inherited from your country. For example, we can say that your father has black skin represented by the "AA" genes, however your mother has a white skin represented by the "aa" genes, you received a gene from your mother and one from your father, with the genetic makeup (genotype) the "Aa" alleles and the black skin phenotype.

not the best question format lol but what i think might as scale color is controlled by a single gene with two alleles, the green allele and the yellow allele. when moths that are homozygous for green scales are mated with moths that are homozygous for yellow scales, 100% of the offspring have green scales.
